What is Space Circus?

Space Circus is an innovative and exciting project using the concept of Space to bring together many elements with the common theme of making STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) learning fun and entertaining. So why Space?

"Space appeals to boys and girls across all ages, abilities and cultures; it connects to unanswered questions, large scale resources and innovative technologies. Beyond science, it has global, environmental, ethical, humanitarian and enterprise dimensions. No other theme offers as much opportunity to interest, motivate and influence young people."

The Case for Space. June 2006. Paul Spencer.
Commissioned by Space Connections/PPARC/BNSC/EADS Astrium.

The project is funded by Yorkshire Forward to March 2009 with a possible extension to March 2010. The funding allows us to offer some elements to all schools across the Yorkshire & Humber Region and some, to a core group of 37, identified by an LEA consultation process in 2006.
