The Cast

Gerald Fox - Quantum

Gerald Fox is an actor, writer, and workshop facilitator based in Hull.

He's appeared in Shakespeare, pantomime and opera plying roles as divers as Macbeth, Wilbur the pig, Dame Trott, a gnome, and a pencil(a very wooden performance!) He especially enjoys devising new theatre and taking it to unusual places. Gerald has performed at Glyndebourne Opera House, every shape and size of village hall, museums, school gyms, a MacDonald's restaurant, a 1950s bus, and a trolley park at Asda. He loves bad jokes. How did the rocket lose his job? He was fired! What books do planets read? Comet books!

Charlie Whitehouse - Connie

Charlie has wanted to go to the moon ever since she was 4 years old and her Gran told her it was made of cheese!

Whilst waiting for her big break as an astro-nut, Charlie has acted in lots of plays, and has toured all around Britain and Spain with a number of theatre companies.

When not dressing up and pretending to be other people, Charlie enjoys swimming, reading, eating cheese and watching films (especially the best film in the world- Back to the Future). Charlie is very excited to be travelling through space and time with Chol Theatre and loves Connie Dallas because she is a fashion icon!

Jemma Cooke - Callista

My name is Callista and I am an Astronaut Onboard the Starship Diversity in the year 2097. I have many exciting missions to complete but the one I am most looking forward to is my Journey to Europa. I'm a little scared but have an amazing crew to work with and my Granny Connie taught me to always follow your dreams, and never give up!

As chief engineer I have a very important role onboard Diversity but am really looking forward to exploring our amazing solar system and actually being able to tease all my friends about seeing the amazing planets we all used to love so much in science.

I graduated from the University of Central Lancashire in which I studied Acting.

I have worked in TIE for many years and worked with children from primary to secondary on various issue based subjects.

I do hope I can save humankind, with your help of course !!!

Stay safe, stay brave and remember to explore the world around you, you never know what your next discovery may be!

Captain Callista x

Dean Ramsden - Sam the Scientist

As well as space travelling Dean is also an actor - which has taken him on many out of this world adventures. Being on this voyage is not Dean's first foray into the world of science having previously played the "Michael Flatley of Science", Nick Forino, and Leon - the worm - in Bent Architect's Darwins Worms.

Back on Planet Earth Dean has also worked with York Theatre Royal and Tutti Frutti as "The Lonely" in If Only The Lonely Were Home. Dean has also worked with No limits Theatre Company, oveable Feast, Theatre Royal Wakefield and The Deanery. He has appeared in the world premiere of Enchanted - The Musical and
has also appeared on Emmerdale for ITV.

Dean's most excited about the feeling of weightlessness that he experiences in space and enjoys listening to music - especially music from the year 2247, which is full of great beats and one of the main reasons he is happy to have travelled into the future.

He is also a fan of Manchester City Football Club who recently won the Universe championships and are now the best team in all known galaxies for the 112th year running - the only other time they had success like this was when they won the Premiership from 2009/10 to 2026/27.

Dean also plays Data in the Special Schools leg of the Space Circus Show

Dean is looking forward to saving the planet with Chol Theatre.
