The Cast

Gerald Fox

Gerald Fox is an actor, writer, and workshop facilitator based in Hull.

He's appeared in Shakespeare, pantomime and opera plying roles as diverse as Macbeth, Wilbur the pig, Dame Trott, a gnome, and a pencil (a very wooden performance!).

He especially enjoys devising new theatre and taking it to unusual places. Gerald has performed at Glyndebourne Opera House, every shape and size of village hall, museums, school gyms, a MacDonald's restaurant, a 1950s bus, and a trolley park at Asda.

He loves bad jokes.

How did the rocket lose his job? He was fired!

What books do planets read? Comet books!

Christina Denham

Before embarking on her courageous mission in space Christina also enjoyed barking her way around the UK and Dubai as 'Stella the Dog' in Kensuke's Kingdom with the Birmingham Stage Company.

Christina also showed she had a certain animal magnetism when playing various furry animals in 'The Mouse and the King of the Elephants' with Forest Forge Theatre Company and various sprite like creatures at the Bury Met when it came to christmas shows.

Yet she has appeared in human form on the odd occasion as a doctor in Emmerdale saving Marlon's life non the less!

Duncan Marwick

Duncan Marwick started his training with the Scottish Youth Theatre and continued at the Welsh College of Music and Drama. Skilled in physical theatre and puppeteering he has worked professionally as an actor of the past 12 years.

Theatre companies worked with: Royal Shakespeare Company, West Yorkshire Playhouse, York Theatre Royal, Northcott Theatre.

Film and Television Companies worked with: Channel 4, BBC Films, Yorkshire TV, BBC 2, Grosvenor Films. Duncan also works in radio, television and film voiceover industry.

Duncan always wanted to be a Harrier Jump Jet Pilot for the RAF but he couldn't get the Physics. One day he stayed home from school to watch the Space Shuttle Launch - it blew up!!! He never dogged off school again, in case he blew something else up!

Carla Starkey

Carla Starkey was born in Bath and has come to live in Leeds via London to study at Rose Bruford Drama School; Roman Bath's, Bath to act the fool as Bottom in A Midsummer's Night Dream; Barcelona for puppetry training; Tokyo to run masked theatre workshops and the whole of Spain to wear a fat suit and entertain the Spanish as the Genie from Aladdin.

Carla has been performing since the age of 3, when she made her debut as a cute little dove! She has always wanted to act so that she can continue to travel to exciting far off lands.

Carla is very keen to holiday in space as ever since she was a child she has been the shortest, but in space the lack of gravity means our bones are not pulled together and you actually grow slightly!! Her new mission is to act her way into space and meet the Martian of her dreams and live happily ever after on the Moon.
